Nice Conn 6D Double French Horn With Case

Description

For sale is a Conn 6D double French horn. It is in good used condition. It plays very well. The valves work very smoothly and have good compression. All of the slides function as intended. This particular horn was made in the Eastlake Ohio factory. The Conn 6D is a standard, versatile horn used by many beginner, junior high, high school, and college students. It is especially good for younger and smaller horn players because it takes less air to play than horns such as the Conn 8D, but still produces a good tone. It is capable of very soft dynamics as well as powerful fortissimos.
This horn does have some cosmetic blemishes. It has some minor dents, scratches and a good deal of lacquer wear. The bell shows signs of dent and crease removal, but nothing that is too bad. None of these things are going to affect how the horn plays.
A case is included. It is used, but is in pretty good condition. The handle is a little bit rigged, but it works fine (see photo 12). No mouthpiece is included.
