Antique Pewter Tankard Lidded Stein Touchmark WH Baroque Angel Finial Feet 11.5"

Description

You are viewing an 11.5" tall and heavy antique pewter lidded tankard or stein with a double-faced baroque or winged angel face finial, and three baroque angel feet.  The tankard holds 8 US cups [about 2 liters].  There is the original owner's engraved initials on the front - H.M.W. - and there are two touch marks - one looks like a castle or towers, and the other the initial W.H. over a Fleur de Lys.  This tankard is most likely European.
Note the rose medallion inside the lid, as well as the basket of flowers medallion on the inside base.  You will see that there are various dings, small split on top edge - the body at the bottom part of the handle is a bit pushed in [this part leaks water] and the opening is out of round.
The base measures 6" diameter.  Weight is 3.5 lbs.
