1870s HAND BLOWN AQUA GLASS CHAIN 90"LONG EARLY FOLK ART GLASSHOUSE WHIMSEY

Here's an early hand blown glass chain glasshouse whimsey that came from an old Ohio collection of early bottles and glassware....I believe it was probably made by a glassblower at the Zanesville Glassworks, or possibly another Ohio glasshouse....the crude hand formed glass chain has 42 crude  hand crimped together links and measures 90"long (7 1/2"feet)...each link is between 2 1/2"-3"long and oval....one end has a 3 3/4"long round swirled glass link.....Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage. You can see where each link was hand crimped around the next link. These glass chain whimseys were made by glass blowers usually after their shift to give away as gifts to their loved ones
. This is one of the longest glass chains I've ever seen! It comes out of my own personal collection .......
